Down In The Ghetto has always been my favorite Bounty tunes. Lyrics have serious depth and create REAL imagery, Check the line - "My Pocket is weak, but my heart is willing i want a pound of rice but cant find a shilling. Can't buy the chicken back much less the chicken." That is some serious shit -- a whole world of poverty and frustration expressed in one lilting rhyme. Add to that the genius riddim -- an update of Shang Kai Shek and you have a huge winner...PLUS!! This Greensleeves 12" is mastered so well, with different mixes that you will have other soundbwoys green with envy that you own this ya one. |
